On July 2, 1967, Bravo Company walked into a U-shaped ambush just north of the DMZ. About the Author: Derl Horn is a native of Springdale, AR. He worked for Cooper Power Inc. for thirty nine years retiring in 2007 as an Industrial Engineer. He married his High School sweetheart Marilyn Buchanan Horn and they have three children, twin daughters and a son and five grandchildren. Derl served as a Marine in the 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, "The Walking Dead" from 1966-1968. He was trained at the Marine Recruiting Depot in San Diego, and at Camp Pendleton, CA. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC where he was deployed for five months in
